Cranford Community College Reception Opening times: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m

For most communication with the academy, the 'Contact Us' tab of this website is the most efficient and effective means of making contact.

Reception can be phoned on 0208 879 2001 and by following the pre-recorded instructions and / or leaving  a voice message.

Key messages to parents will be posted on the Latest News page of this website and key messages are sent by SMS text so please ensure the academy has the correct mobile number at all times. 

There are no visitors allowed on site before 4.45 p.m. each day without a pre-agreed appointment.

Meetings with parents will normally be scheduled to take place remotely, via Teams or School Cloud. 

Students are expected to have left the school site by 4:45 p.m. unless involved in a pre-arranged event or activity agreed or organised by the academy. 

 

Reception is open in the evening and weekends for Community Users, Sports &  Lettings, which commence at 5 pm (Organisers may set up from 4.45 pm) on weekdays and normally from 10am on weekends.

Car Parking is reserved for school staff only until 4.45 pm 

 

Parents reporting a child’s absence

Parents/Guardians must call the main school number to report a student absence before 9 a.m. on the day of absence. 

If a student is absent for more than one day, the parent/guardian must call on each day of absence unless a sick certificate has been provided by the G.P. or hospital. 

 

Dropping items to reception: Students should come fully equipped to school each day and check the night before that they have everything they need for the following school day.

At secondary school, students are expected to take greater personal responsibility and Items left at home will not normally be accepted by reception from parents. Tthe student will be sanctioned for not coming to school fully equipped if appropriate. 

 

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR BY ADULTS ON OR NEAR THE SCHOOL SITE OR IN COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE ACADEMY

The academy has a zero tolerance of abusive, aggressive or violent behaviour.

Cranford Community College will not tolerate aggressive or obstructive behaviour, swearing, threatened or actual physical harm.

Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated nor will malicious damage or theft.

Any individual who displays abusive, aggressive, violent or otherwise unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave the site and may be reported to the police.

Where such behaviour is by phone, the call will be terminated by the member of academy staff and referred to Senior Management

Where such behaviour is electronic, communications may be blocked and legal or other action taken. 

If appropriate, an exclusion order may be issued to prevent an individual (including a parent) from coming to or near Cranford Community College for a fixed period or indefinately and application will be made to the courts in the case of harassment.  

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 Site Closure

The Academy

  • Cranford Community College will close to students with a phased dismissal on Friday 16 December 2022.

Years 7, 8 and 9 will be dismissed at:  ......................................

Years 10, 11, 12 & 13 will be dismissed at: ..................................

  • Teachers attend work as normal on Friday, 20th December 2019 for compulsory training and development.
  • All staff will attend work in accordance with their individual contract and leave arrangements.

Community and Sports Access

  • Opening times and access arrangements (Main entrance car park) for the vaccination centre during the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 break will be posted here nearer the time.
  • The entire inner site and all community sports facilities (Indoor and outdoor) will be closed from Saturday 24 December 2022 to Monday, 1 January 2023 INCLUSIVE.
  • The site will re-open for normal community and sports use on Tuesday 2nd January 2020.

 

Online bookings can be made 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, subject to terms and conditions.
