Successful and Happy:

To ensure all pupils are happy and succeed at school, and to ensure the curriculum also actively prepares and equips pupils to achieve success and happiness in the future. To ensure pupils achieve and standards are high.

Skilful:

To develop a curriculum that provides ‘additionality’ and develops the full range of skills (e.g. personal, practical, academic, social and employment related skills) and prepares young people for success in an increasingly competitive and changing world.

Aspirational:

To both broaden and strengthen aspirations. To value the gamut and variety of education and employment opportunities and life choices. To encourage and guide pupils to take practical steps now, whilst at school, to secure a better long term future. To support social mobility.

Moral and Charitable:

To foster a strong moral dimension and ethos through the school and the whole school curriculum, for example through the development of good manners, social skills, shared values, community and charitable efforts, citizenship activity and empathy.

Innovative:

To develop a diverse curriculum and qualifications structure which is adaptable, exciting and embraces positive change, structured experiment and innovative ideas for improvement.

Global:

To encourage pupils to consider opportunities beyond the locality, including internationally. To embed deep global partnerships which enrich the curriculum and create opportunities for growth. To benchmark all our performance against the best in the world, to share and build upon best practice
