The Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
The Learning Resource Centre is there to provide a service to Years 7 to 11 with its well resourced Library and Computer suite. We also encourage students to actively get involved with the LRC. We have over 10 voluntary student assistants who help at lunch times. Our suggestion box allows students to feed back ideas or suggestions which can enhance services or resources.
Our ethos is to provide a positive, welcoming environment which encourages learning and assists in developing life long learning skills.
In the LRC, students can come to sit and read quietly during break times, to complete homework or research for school based projects.
The resources and facilities include:
- Over 15,000 books, videos, magazines, DVD’s and newspapers
- Access to curriculum text books
- A wide range of classic and modern fiction
- Over 45 computers for students to use
- A members' Homework Club after school
