The school

Cranford began life as Woodfield Secondary School.  After the 1944 Act, Spring Grove Central School and the council senior schools became secondary modern schools. The Hounslow Heath secondary school was closed and its buildings were transferred to the neighbouring primary school when the Woodfield secondary modern school was opened in 1954 at the Great South West Road.  In 1975 the current school building was opened and the school transferred to the new site on High Street.
